Information for Prospective Rotarians What would it take to change the world? Rotary's 1.2 million members believe it starts with a commitment to Service Above Self. Rotary International is one of the world's largest service organizations with more than 34,000 clubs in more than 200 countries.Object of Rotary: To encourage and foster the idea of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular to encourage and foster: FIRST: The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service: SECOND: High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society; THIRD: The application of the idea of service in each Rotary's personal, business and community life; FOURTH: The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service. Rotary Clubs around the world ALL subscribe to the principles of the FOUR WAY TEST: Of the things we think, say or do. . . IS IT THE TRUTH? IS IT FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED? Coordinates the Mid-Ohio Valley’s largest International Dinner, A Taste of the World, that features cuisine, culture and music from all over the world?
Has benefited from a variety of programs during our meetings such as: cutlery demonstration, zumba practice, Marietta ghost stories, history of Mid-Ohio Valley, Marietta College choir performance, and Etiquette Training?
