Prospective Member Information

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Marietta Morning Rotary Club.

  • Rotary is a humanitarian service organization. We are focused on fulfilling community needs her in Marietta, Washington County, the Mid-Ohio Valley and on the international level as well. Our programs are both local and far-reaching, and encompass a wide variety of local concerns as well as international issues such as hunger, health, and education.
  • Rotary International is an association of individual clubs with each club operating autonomously. Membership is extremely important to us and we are always eager to hear from individuals who are interested in our mission and in joining a Rotary club.
  • Membership of each club constitutes an accurate reflection or representation of the business and professional population within our geographic area.
  • Membership in the Marietta Morning Rotary club requires an available business or professional classification slot, as well as an invitation and sponsorship by a member of the club.

“The Cost of Being a Morning Rotarian – the Wallet & the Work Shoe”
The Wallet:
  • Club dues: $26 quarterly or $104 per year.
  • Weekly meal cost: $78 quarterly or $312 per year.
  • Rotary Foundation Contributions: Optional for all members, recommended annual contribution - $100/year. Payment options available.
Young Professional Membership: $104 per year no charges for meals
Criteria for eligibility: Open to those ages 18-28; a maximum of 3 years, annually renewable, subject to Board review.
YPM agrees to serve on one or more Club Committees and will be an active participant in Club activities.
Regular meeting attendance is expected.
The YPM will be sponsored and mentored by an existing Club member.
Corporate Membership: Companies may choose to sponsor the membership of an employee. Regular membership fees apply.
 
The Work Shoe:
  • All members agree to be active participants in Club activities and projects through committee service, meeting attendance and fundraisers.
  • Our current Club Service Projects and Fundraisers include:
  • International Dinner – held every spring
  • Charlie Schob Discovery Garden – regular care, maintenance, seasonal upkeep, holiday lighting
  • Marietta College Summer Reading Camp – Reading program held in early summer  
  • Rotary Reading Room – Accelerated Reader program at Harmar Community Center which involves tutoring and reading to kids
  • Annual Benefit Auction Cruise – held in the fall aboard the Valley Gem Sternwheeler. (Every year this auction benefits a local organization.
