I was born in Ironton, Ohio. Following my military service with the U.S. Army I lived in Chicago, where I met my wife, Bonnie. We have three daughters and two sons.
We were passing through Marietta in 1977 and fell in love with the town and its people. We've lived here ever since.
Hobbies
I enjoy playing handball and softball. I like reading; hiking and I attempt to play golf. I have hiked a large portion of the Appalachian Trail by myself.
Education
I attended college at St. John Vianney Seminary in Bloomingdale, Ohio, and Catholic University in Washington, DC. I majored in philosophy.
Career
I've owned an historical restoration and remodeling company since 1977. Previously, I was a carpenter in Chicago.
