Born Cherry Point , North Carolina and raised in Wellsville , Ohio .  Graduated from Wellsville High in 1985 and Mount Union College in 1989 with a BA in Political Science and American Studies.

  Started my professional career in the finance industry working for American General Finance and then Citi-Financial.  In 1995, my wife and I relocated to Marietta , my wife's hometown, and have been here since.  We love Marietta and hope to never leave.

In 2001, I began my career at Peoples Bank as a Regional Sales Manager overseeing retail banking in  Wood County , Wetzel County , Noble County , Washington County and  Morgan County .  

 My wife, Anita, and I were married on 9/17/1994. We have two children, Ainsley Jae Betz, born April 22, 2002 and Addison Isabel Betz, born January 25, 2005 and they are the light of our lives. 

 My hobbies include running, swimming, reading, and spending time with my family.

 My Rotary experience has included past president 2004-2005 and my areas of interest are literacy programs, maintaining a family type club atmosphere and strengthening our club's history and commitment to our local community.
