Reading Camp on the Campus Of Marietta College
The Marietta Morning Rotary Club is proud to be a sponsor of the Marietta College Summer Reading Camp since 1997.
We've made the Camp one of our major community projects.
What is the Summer Reading Camp?
The Summer Reading Camp is a four week program, cosponsored by Marietta College and the Marietta Morning Rotary Club, designed to assist students in the development of improved reading abilities and positive attitudes toward reading. This is accomplished through the integration of reading and writing activities using materials of interest to the child.
Who May Attend?
Camp enrollment is open to children entering K-5 in the fall.
How Do I Enroll?
For an application contact Contact Dottie Erb, Ph.D., Marietta College Education Department
Upon admission to the program, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment for your child to participate in a pre-clinic interview. During this interview, the Reading Camp staff will determine reading level and interests so that the Camp will be as productive as possible for each child.
